Cookiebot Setup

Use Cookiebot as your consent banner: TrakIt loads it on your store and holds tracking tags until the visitor agrees.

What you'll need

Cookiebot Domain Group ID (cbid)Required

36-character ID from your Cookiebot dashboard (Settings > Your scripts).

Cookie Blocking ModeRequired

Automatic mode blocks tracking tags until the visitor gives consent.

Enable Google Consent Mode v2Optional

Passes consent signals to Google Ads, GA4, Meta and other tags.

Step-by-step setup

  1. In Cookiebot, add your store domain and copy the Domain Group ID.
  2. In TrakIt, open Integrations > Cookiebot, paste the ID, pick a blocking mode and save.
  3. Turn on Respect User Consent in TrakIt Settings so all tags follow the visitor's choice.

Cookiebot is a consent tool: it doesn't receive your sales events.
